So I quit my job, and I'm a little bummed out about it. I feel kinda shitty for taking it in the first place. I needed the money, but it made getting my final projects done rediculously hard. School's over for the break, and now I decide to quit. Here's why.
For starters, I have 5 weeks to gain passing knowledge of 2 semesters (26 weeks) of Biology. This is possible for me, but not if I'm working 4 days of each of those 5 weeks.
On top of this, I need to write the scenarios for my Independant Studies - this is an insanely complex task, because it needs to appear to be a single story, despite having probably a hundred or so variations.
Now throw in getting the game done before the end of break.
I still feel bummed because I gave literally an hours notice before I needed to come in to work today, but I knew if I worked today I would go in to work the next time to get my paycheck, and then I would stay, and try to make it work, and it wouldn't, and I wouldn't graduate. And really, $6.50 an hour isn't even close to needing to go back to school for another semester.
