The tragedy at VA Tech can not be expressed in words. The sympathy felt for the loved ones and friends of those killed can not be expressed by words. This is why I do not understand why they continue to give this so much press. This should be studied, task forces should be made to watch for this type of behavior, it should not be forgotten, but press will only fuels the next Cho to one up him.

The power is in the press that covers the tragedy that Cho left behind. He is getting what he wanted. He got his revenge and he is infamous...He even sent his own video to NBC to ensure he got the coverage for what he did. The attention he needed so badly that he felt the need to take 32 lives and his own to get it. Does this press give the next shooter fuel to go ahead and do what Cho did? Do serial killers like the spotlight after they are caught?

Also, not to make any deaths less tragic then they are because it take my breath away to think of those poor students, but there are kids their age fighting and dying for their country right now and I do not see them getting a lot of press. They wake up knowing that they are going to be shot at and attacked and KIDS that are the same age as these kids are DYING. NBC does not want that exclusive. They say it may traumatize us too much to show soldiers getting killed but hello seeing 33 kids die here traumatizes us as well.

I want to the world to know that something like what happened a few days ago can happen at any time, any where. I just do not want to fuel someone who may think "everyone hates me, they are all evil, if I kill them I will get their attention and live on in infamy which is better then living and being unknown". I also want the world to keep track of how many lives are being lost in Iraq but they won't their are hypocrites who prefer a shocking sudden shooting over slow moving war that is just killing people and not getting anywhere. Both of these events are equally horrible and tragic. All around I think I am losing faith in mankind.
