Monday
My boss showed up several hours late today. When he did arrive, it was with a homemade cherry cheesecake. There is no outer crust on this cheesecake -- just a ring of ladyfingers encircling the cherry goodness like a fence.
I tell you, there is no better way to brighten up a Monday. :-)
And in the eternal war between me and my brain, I have to score a point to my brain. After several days of limping my way through the new story I'm writing, it suddenly came alive today -- while I was at work, naturally. Which meant I basically spent the day in a shall we say, less than productive mode, and instead handwrote nearly four pages of story.
Now if my previous experience is anything to go by, I'll type up those four pages tonight...and promptly stall out again and write nothing else until tomorrow morning. At work.
Oh brain. I love you so.
