Fresh water

Fresh water ecosystems consist of the following: lakes, rivers, ponds, and lakes

Lakes are large bodies of water surouned by land.The Baikal has one-fifth of the

worlds fresh water. The Amazon starts in the Andes mountains and runs into the vast

salt-water area known as the Atlantic.Over a long time the natural flow of rivers and

streams may change coarse and split of, or run into new bodies of water.

The water is not without its share of plant life though,as proved bye such as the

following. Algea is an important part of the water. It suplies oxygen to water and fish.

Another part of the plant life of fresh water ecosystems is the cat-tail.

It is food for fishes and microscopic organisms that live in the water.

Other plants of the fresh water include the folowwing:reeds, manglovers,and

pickle weed.

The fresh water helps fish obviously as a living space for them.The fresh water also helps

us humans too.The rivers supply us with hydro-energy.They also help us by containing the kind

of water our ansestors lived on. They help us today in the united states economy.They suply us

with salmon which we export.

there are a few parts of water bodies the litoric zone wich is the part of the water that is the

deepst part of the water masses .The limnetic zone is the shallow part
