It always seems that the new year, as Myra sees it, is the one time she's prepared with something to reciprocate his generosity. She was hoping to give it in person, but after receiving his gift, she forwards it via PINpoint.
Not long after, he will receive a small, red and gold gilded box. Inside is a pair of silver cuff-links, each decorated with a tiny dragon sporting red eyes.
He wouldn't have forgiven her if she'd tried to celebrate his birthday, but this is acceptable. More than acceptable. He has to put on his reading glasses to look over the cuff-links, but they make him smile. He'll have to wear them to his next formal occasion.
It's unfortunate he's been busy, traveling quite a bit since Christmas. There has been work for her, in his city, but whether it has anything to do with his private missions is impossible to say.
Indeed, it's impossible to say what exact plan his missions for her have been fueling, but just as his earlier agents would not question their tasks, neither does she. She does as instructed, and then disappears back home to serve her other master.
