Randomness...
So, this turned out to be a VERY fun but random weekend! I was in Westminster, MD, for Kim Van Etten's wedding, but it turned out to be a mini Randolph reunion. Glen and Rob had invited lots of their friends, so in all I ended up hanging out with Craig Cetta, Don Youker, Eric Maietta, Nick and Gabe Albanito....oh, and Mike Smith sat next to me at the wedding! (Just in case the world isn't quite small enough.) I had so much fun, though! When I got in on Friday, I called Glen and we all went out to a bar. The wedding was on Saturday at noon, and it was great! It was SO typical of Kim! Her reception was in the same building and everyone pretty much got drunk at the open bar. I got to hold somebody's really cute 6-week-old baby for an hour or so, too! (BEFORE I was drunk, fortunately for the baby.) Shortly after the wedding, the parties started happening! My room, Glen and Rob's rooms, and the Albanitos' rooms were all next to each other (again, small world), so there were about 30 people floating between the rooms, drinking and screaming along to Bon Jovi. (Amanda, it was so much fun to call you and surprise you with, "Hey, I'm in Maryland with your roommate right now!") Finally, a small group of us went out to some local hick bar not far from the hotel. This was literally a hick bar- cowboy boots and hats, plaid shirts, bandanas, old people, a country music cover band, neon beer signs all over the place...the typical hee-haw you'd expect at a country bar! Gabe and I were rocking out on the dance floor along with the live band, though, so it was great! We left the bar around midnight (early, yes, but by that point we'd been drinking for nearly 11 hours), I hung out with Rob for a little bit, and then I crashed! I spent the majority of today in the Baltimore-Washington International Airport (w00t), and now I'm about to go to bed and try to sleep off those 2 full nights and one full day of straight drinking...
