I ordered a Fulton Sheen book from amazon that arrived this week.  I've wanted the book for a while but was too cheap to actually buy it--so when I found a used copy for $3 I was sold.

The book makes me so happy.  Its a 1951 edition that was originally sold for 50 cents.  Sheen is on the cover looking dashing and making what appears to be the "okay" sign--but I know better.  He's really holding up 3 fingers in a rather awkward fashion.  For being nearly a 60-year-old paperback I am really impressed with the condition and delight in the thought of readers burying themselves in its pages long before I was even born.  The thing that really gets me, though, is the smell.  I love the musk that wafts its way to my heart with each page turn.

It's good to be alive.
