This cover of Close To You was the central element in the strongest setpiece in Mirrormask, I couldn't really think of anything stronger to start this off that contained the themes of dehumanized envy. Continuing this in the most explicit lyrical terms is the Yoko Kanno composition Be Human. Dependable, top-notch work as always, and robots have never seemed sadder.

Petrol & Chlorine are some pretty serious elements of inhuman chemistry. Silverchair manages to give strong George Harrison spiritual vibes with the production choices behind it. Shh upholds Frou Frou's ability to write human hooks into songs that otherwise unnerve me just the tiniest bit.

I's lyrics deserve special mention here. Translated, they read:
I guess
you still
don't understand
me

Even now
Do you think
I am
a terrible girl?

That's right! I am
irresponsible,
capricious,
cheeky,
selfish,
extravagant,
affected,
a liar,
uncertain,
and irresponsible

But I
get away with it
because
I am cute

But I am
loved
because
I am cute

Loop me teaches us all me that post-production audio terms can be sexy, and Reaching for the Stars (MAW Mix) is a remix of a song that finally realizes its potential that was somewhat buried in its original incarnation
