Japan donations

Mar 15, 2011 21:37

I realize everyone's flists have been flooded with donation links, but here is one more you might want to look into.  My mother works for Henry Schein which is the largest distributor of medical supplies here in the US.   They have set up a Japan Tsunami/Earthquake relief fund that will send medical supplies to Japan.  If you, like me, are skeptical of what your donation money is actually buying, this fund is great because you know your money will be used to send much needed medical supplies.

You can make a donation by visiting their website- Henry Schein Cares and clicking the "donate now" button and choosing "Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund" on the dropdown menu.

If you would like to send a check, you can mail that to:
Henry Schein Inc.
135 Duryea Rd.
Melville, NY 11747

Make the check payable to "Henry Schein Cares Foundation" with "Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund" in the memo.

Please feel free to link or post this information elsewhere.  I feel I can't possibly give enough to the country that treated my husband and I with so much love and respect when we were fortunate enough to visit a few years ago.  My heart is breaking thinking of what they are now suffering.
