i am aware my team is not up to its normal standards this year.....however i do recall a time when purdue was not quite the scoring machine they are this year.

This may be true, but Charlie Weiss is going to eat his words from two years ago...
"We will never have a losing record... we will never lose to teams such as Purdue..."
It wouldn't be as big a deal had he not said all the garbage. But, I'll take a Purdue win over Notre Lame any day as long as that loser is coach.

the overall series record is 51-25-2
charlie is going to receive a lot of criticisms this year
maybe he will lose some weight.
