The gig was absolutely awesome. :D
I keep trying to write a review of it, but I just can't. Every single song was incredible. Even Matt Bellamy tuning his guitar sounded amazing(!) (he did tune it with the distortion effect still on...)
The thing with Muse, is that each of the 3 members is an incredibly talented musician, and when playing live they lose none of the perfection, but even more energy. We were singing along at literally the tops of our voices and... it's not describable... needless to say, by the end of the night we were both totally hoarse, with ringing ears, bruised hands from clapping so hard and shaky knees from stamping and bouncing.
I was beside myself during Starlight... everyone knows I'm obsessed with that song! They did that trick where they go off stage and pretend it's finished and everybody knows they'll come back... but they waited SO long... was worried they actually wouldn't come back and play it!
Matt gave away one of his guitars towards the end, dropping it into the crowd, and MY matt let out a strangled 'arrrrgh i want it!' heh. but given there appeared to be about 10,000 people fighting for it down in the mosh pit, i didn't volunteer to go down and fetch it ;)
