I woke up at 9:45am. I went back to sleep at noon for a nap (which is very strange of me)
I just woke up from that nap at 1:23pm.
I just had the freakiest dream. I know this is hella long--but it's insane!
Tyler's Jetta had a time travel box installed in the center console. You held down a button that would change 4 numbers on a display. The numbers weren't in year format, though, making it difficult to figure out where we were. When you pushed the button on the right the time traveling happened. You didn't feel anything or see anything, it would just happen. One of the times I stared at a sign and instantly saw it age. I was with my good friend Jordan. We had borrowed the Jetta and for some reason Tyler did not join us. For some other reason Tyler let us take his car to a different time and dimension. The first place I can remember going is the 70's. The digital number display on the time travel box read "6971" (in a glowing red like my car!) or something close to that... (my mailbox at school is 6962, weird.) We found out where we were because the license plates on the cars said the year. Of course...... At this point the Jetta cleverly disguised itself as a pastel blue Beetle. We were thankful for the disguise. We jacked the number higher up and based on the way people were dressed along the highway (why were there even people walking along the highway?) we decided we were in the late 80's. Another queer thing we witnessed along the highway across the median were about five men dressed in upside-down trashcans that had face and arm spots cut out. They had on orange long sleeve shirts and looked like they were about to venture into space (or just came from!). They could have all been little people. Weird. I saw it and never mentioned it to Jordan, who was driving. At one point we passed a famous race track and were driving up on a bridge when I pointed it out to Jordan. She looked away from the bridge we were driving on and we easily flew off the side. I was so scared I hid my face between my legs screaming. That would have killed me with an air bag if we had crashed. SOMEHOW we landed on another road and continued driving. I decided to change the 4 digits again to a later time. I was not enjoying the 80's. I was desperate to get back to 2008. We were in the 90's now. I tried texting Tyler for help with the numbers but anything I tried to type turned into gibberish or not anything I had meant to type. The traffic on the highway was so congested and everyone drove over 100mph and changed lanes within inches of one another. I was terrified again. Jordan acted like she had done this before and wasn't scared about the other cars. She knew where we were and said we had to go to some place. My aunt, grandma, and great grandma were sitting in a room and they wanted to talk with us. They looked the same except each one now had darkish grey-colored hair. I had a horse with me all the sudden who needed water and I wanted some juice. Jordan's parents showed up but we didn't notice her mom until she walked away and her dad was standing behind a plant in the corner, looking 20 years younger, thinner, paler, and staring at us and only us with these big wide creepy eyes. It was odd. I was terrified again. We left and went to Tyler's house. This is when I realized we were not only in the 90's but in an alternate dimension. Tyler was older than us in this dimension. He had his own place but wasn't there, just letting us use it. The most important thing we had to remember was to bring Tyler's pet pig back to 2008. Jordan kept reminding me as she made maceroni and cheese in a very interesting microwave/stove top hybrid which warmed the food as it spun it on some racks and was not contained like a microwave. I found Tyler's black leather bound address book and was curious to look myself up in it. At first I couldn't even find myself and was sad. Then I saw in, under section "B", "Heidi" with my number, and then an occupation written underneath. It was a 5 or 6-letter thing, like FCIFSA. I wrote it down in a notebook to look it up when we got back. I was really scared that we would never get back, though. The more times we traveled the more likely that we would get stuck--we couldn't just keep guessing numbers like we had been! I had to get on my laptop and IM Tyler. Somehow it worked. I told him we were stuck and I needed to know the right numbers. He never answered my numbers question, he kept telling me he wanted to hang out with Keefer. My screename changed itself to "Doiche" or something strange. At the time it sounded like a feminine name. Some buttons in the keyboard were swapped around so I continued to misspell words. I was very curious about the alternate dimension and still didn't know the date so I opened up Firefox and typed in "www.ajc.com". It redirected me to "www.ajc.au" and had a bunch of other stuff littering up the link. Everything was in German. Not the kind of German I know, though. Alternate dimension German that was so slightly different. The date was August 20, 2007. We were so close! I went outside to find Jordan and the pig and tell them and ended up finding my roommate, Leslie. She had time-traveled with us (I decided all the sudden!) and was talking to her friend Sarah. I whispered to Leslie and asked if Sarah knew. She didn't. This was the first local I had encountered and was shocked to hear she had a German accent and her "yeah" slang was "ja". Germany must have won WW2. I was a little freaked out. I wanted to speak German to her but thought that might be out of the ordinary and decided to be careful. I didn't do it. I looked out into the valley (we were on a hill) and there were rice fields surrounding us. Maybe America had been turned to rice slavery in some parts? It didn't hit me at the time, all I wanted to do was take a picture of the sun setting over the rice fields. I got my cell phone camera out but it couldn't fit everything. Leslie gave me her camera to use and I got the picture. Looking over the fields was the only moment of joy I felt during our adventure. I returned back inside and got on Tyler's computer only to discover his food blog! I can't remember the title...oh how I wish I did. It looked pretty professional, a parallel to "www.tastespotting.com" perhaps? He even had some videos. He had a LOT of girly fans who were totally into his looks. I was jealous, but also very happy he had a successful blog.
I woke up.
I called Tyler, still tired and scared and told him bits of it.
So I've been to another dimension.
That's all.
