The system at work went down at exactly 5 today, so I got to go home on time for once. Hooray for small victories! This also means I finally have time to tell you all about Beirut.

!!! so much love for Beirut. I tried to go see one of their concerts in NYC over the summer, but it was in a place that's impossible to get to by mass transit and I felt a little sick and, well, there was a thunderstorm...so I missed that one.

and if you ever steal Zach Condon, please bring him over to New York for a day or two so I can have him a little

I've been really bad this year about skipping concerts because they were inconveniently-located (or, more often, because I've felt really lazy). It's a habit I mean to break.

If I stole him, I'm pretty sure I'd still have to let Zach Condon out once in a while... I think if I kept him to myself completely there'd be Scott-Pilgrim-style challenges against me for my right to keep him (and while that'd be amusing, I'm kind of lacking in super powers). (-;
