Pepper-Smaug, Queen Under the Fishtank
Hey guys, sorry I've been absent for a while. It's less because Pep's been nice than me being really busy.
So the little'un is still up to her evil tricks. First thing she's done is pile up a shit load of food in her tube and spend half the night rolling around in it. I presume she's counting it. Hence the Smaug title again. I'm gonna steal a tiny bit and see if she notices.
Second thing she's done recently is decide to have a redecorate in her cage. Which involved spending the night trying to throw the shelf off the level it was on. She didn't manage for the entire night, not through lack of trying, but when I woke up the next morning at a stupid time since I had to get for placement (an hour away) for 9am in heavy traffic (hence leaving at 7am) she'd managed, somehow, to dismantle it and the only thing stopping it dropping on her and crushing her was the wheel.
So I put it back, by the time I got home it was still up, thought nothing more about it.
That night she decided to start again, so I pushed it off for her because at least that way she wouldn't hurt herself. Still didn't help as she still clattered it. So I had to take it out. Which is an issue as there's a tube opening above it that she could fall out of. Luckily the wheel breaks her fall and she knows to hold on to the cage so I'm not too worried yet, but I might still put up a hammock below it and move the wheel or something.
Other than that, she's been chewing the cage and shouting back at me if I tell her off. She's a little twat. If you point at her she hisses. No training involved, she just does it.
Her sister's been more annoying than usual too, eating my curtains and chewing and breaking off her tubes three times in one night and pissing on me when I pick her up, making me think she's escaped by popping the hole cover off but not actually being arsed to leave the cage, that sorta thing.
Little brother Hal is still a sweetheart, no complaints can be mentioned in his name.
But Pep did just do something really funny, which you probably won't understand if you haven't seen or read The Hobbit. Part 2 if we're talking films.
I hadn't seen her for a while, which made me naturally suspicious as I've been out in the garden with the ferrets for an hour and a half tonight. So I went to check on her. And it didn't look like she was anywhere. Which was worrying. I checked her bedding once again and there was just this eye staring out of a load of newspaper at me. I tried to get a picture but she moved. Really funny though.
SMAUG WAS REAL AND HE'S BEEN REINCARNATED AS A FEMALE HAMSTER!
