10:38 AM 11/12/10 · Okay, let's try this again. First off, I'm not going to be moving in with
niveK &
Anna. Amidst some minor details, despite the fact I was beginning to seriously consider it, I spent 4 hours at their place the other night and when I woke up the following morning, at my place, I was having breathing problems and my nose was stuffy.
The cat.
It would've been worse if I hadn't taken zyrtec, lasts 24 hours. Took another dose after I got up to help me with the after effects. For those with allergies you know you can feel the stuff clogging you up with disturbing detail, zyrtec allows me to be aware of that but not be overly effected. I'm fine now, 3rd day after, but this was just after 4 hours in their place. Really the first time I've been there with all the doors closed, they often have BBQs and keep all the doors open during, unless
niveK's band is playing.
Anyway, I found meeting up with with
niveK &
Anna in the Hillsdale Mall to be wonky. After spending about 5 hours at LensCrafters in Menlo Park the previous day, I spent another 4 hours at LensCrafters in that mall. They were both getting their eyes checked. Having a hard time of it too, for differing reasons.
I can relate, my eyes are quirky too.
When I got there
Kendra was talking to
niveK. While we wandered around inside checking stuff out, mostly potential frames for the glasses they would be getting,
Gryphon showed up; MUCH HUGS! Increasingly during the rest of the night I kept finding reasons to hug her, which she seemed to be totally fine with, and I may've mixed in a bit of flirting as well.
There's a host of reasons for this, other than just being me, but chief amongst them is the fact I find it damned near impossible to prevent myself from flirting with
Gryphon. She's wonderful! Also totally unavailable for 2 reasons, one of which is her boyfriend. Still, the flirting must be done!
Apparently.
While
Anna &
niveK, going alphabetical this time, went in for the next battery of tests,
Kendra,
Gryphon, and I went for a walkabout. There had been the maddening scent of Mrs. Field's ever since I got in and when I'd mentioned it to
Gryphon earlier she said she'd buy me cookies. I've since pledged to love her forever, moreso as to the quantity of said we got.
On the walk back they did a little clothes shopping, or I should say looking. I've done similar with women before and they've tried stuff on, whether or not I got to peruse them in stuff, but this was different. Not sure what
Kendra's deal was, or if she was just into only looking this time around, but
Gryphon is a weird with this. She hopes to not see anything she likes because if she does she'll feel compelled to try it on. If she tries it on there's about a 90% chance she'll buy it and she REALLY didn't want to buy anything...
...which makes me wonder why, knowing all this, which she explained to me in detail, she would bother going into clothing stores in the first place?
More maddening when we got back to LensCrafters and then
Kendra &
Gryphon ditched me. I asked
Anna where they were going and was informed they'd gone shopping for panties.
My sexism sense was going off!
Long story short,
Anna &
niveK eventually left, we met up with
Kendra &
Gryphon in Victoria Secrets, and then
Kaa showed up to join us for after pizza back at their place,
Anna &
niveK's that is. After a brief spin by Mrs. Field's for more cookies, in greater quantity, there was much chatting, more hugging with one person inparticular (can't imagine who) and we watched 1½ episodes of Castle. Eventually folks had to go, like myself and
Kendra. So after prying
Anna's curious hands off my Kindle, not a euphemism, sadly, I headed home.
On a random note, and it's gonna take some checking off the masterlist to confirm, I think
Anna deleted one of the bookmarks on the Kindle. For the internet browser, not the books. I could be wrong but I've got 13 pages of bookmarks and as I don't change them often it looks like content has advanced 1 link forward a page since I was at their place.
So, I'm not gonna be living there, unless I can trade their cat in for a nearly identical minature dog, anytime soon.
