8:30 PM 9/7/09 · I use a variety of sounds for my cellphone. All .wav files recorded to the voice memo function. Sounds the phone wouldn't normally have that I use for all the sound functions, I like my sounds to be something I wouldn't mistake another person's phone for. A lot of them could be Halloween sounds, all the ringtones were insane laughter, and other assorted randomness.
Just a second ago I was switching the sound my phone makes for text messages and, for no reason I can figure, every single sound got deleted off my phone.
Well...all but one.
The remaining one is the "arg?" you get from worker orcs from the original Warcraft.
Guess I'm going to have to track all of those down and re·record them late tonight. Have to do it at such a time there's no real sound going on outside or inside, don't want to take away from the quality of the recordings. This is now how I intended to be spending my evening.
An "arg?" is not enough for all the assigned sounds my phone is supposed to make. Fortunately, a week back I copied a text file for all the selected noises I was using, detailing what I had assigned to what. Seemed a little paranoid at the time.
Not so much now.
10:01 PM 9/7/09 · Hmmmmmmm, couldn't find them all. I may've deleted a few and not realized it. Got some new ones, taken from Unreal Tournament, which are pretty cool. Guess we'll see how it goes.
