Corin texted me about minature golf I had assumed she was looking into inviting me to a thing in relation to that. As it happens, not so much. See, she and
Howard have a son. No, not biologically both of theirs...but yes biologically his.
For those of you that know him, you may recall
Howard used to put forth the notion that he was sterile. This is obviously not true, twice over but that's another story, and it should be equally obvious why any male might put forth that rumor...
...think about it.
I don't know for sure that's where he was going with that but it kinda fits.
Anyway, the reason I mention all this was that my going to play minature golf is the plan but not with them. On December 22nd there is a small snafu in their scheduling and they need a babysitter. They wanted to know if I could babysit Michael, cute little monster that he is, and take him to that because I'm assuming it's something he loves to do.
I haven't played in years. He might be able to beat me.
While I was initially stunned by this I was immensely pleased they would entrust the tiny terror to my care. That lasted all of about 3 seconds before panic set in. While it's true I get along extremely well with kids, the Gods only know why, I'm not sure how I feel about being wholly responsible for taking on two of my friends' hyperkinetic little chatty pet.
This may be a normal thing, I dunno.
The panic I mean.
Yes, go ahead and tell it's perfectly normal to be panicking about this!
I haven't said yes as yet. I've got well over 30 days to make up my mind. I'm extremely touched they'd consider me and much as I like to be their for my friends...I'm unsure if I'm qualified to do this.
That and
Corin offered to let me drive her car but, frankly, it scares me.
In no way is my fear he may be able to beat me at minature golf a factor here.
