Multi·Genre·Fandom 8:48 AM 6/15/2006 · I first became aware of
Kristen shortly after I got my first LJ account back in 2003. At the time I was setting up the first of 5 sockpuppets,
Maul, and she popped up after skimming some items on his interest list; most likely as without the fancy ID·tag her journal's
sithvixen. I only skimmed her entries, and website, whe I was logged in as him so we weren't that chatty much at the time but I had already come to think of her as one of the best costumers I'd ever seen.
Year and some change later, after I developed an LJ for an OC (original character) of mine, the ever so loveable
IMP, I entered him into
matrix_agents as that seemed an ideal environment for fun. After a bit in there he met what would become his favorite nemesis, an agent that was off the charts named
Centinela. Where he was mischievous and friendly and random she was predatory, direct, and not one to likely ever be found giggling. Her iconnage was great...although for awhile I couldn't place the face. They were all of an actual person and I had already found a number of other sockpuppets that had ganked images of models before so I figured it was just someone I'd seen somewhere randomly in passing.
Part of the problem in identification was that when I first came across
Kristen's website she had short & spikey blonde hair.
Anyway, eventually all connections were made and I found out it was actually her and thus did a great online friendship begin, even though her sockpuppet was constantly trying to kill mine. Which, by the way, a certain
IMP is in a certain
Centinela's office even as I type this; been neglecting that game for about a year as it kinda died but every so often I pop him back in to stir things up.
Then, awhile back,
Kristen popped into my neck of the woods...sorta. Way the fuck up in Marin, hell of a drive, and wanted to meet so I just got in the car and followed the directions I had (got lost about 3 times) and wandered into the lobby. Funny thing was that it didn't dawn on me till I was in there that I didn't know her room number or anything and was wondering how I was going to tell her I was there when I caught something shiny out of the corner of my eye...
...sitting at a desk with a really devious grin on her face was
Centinela!
Y'know, even though the
IMP is hardly one of my more ingrained personalities...he practically jumped out of my skin and made a beeline for the nearest outlet. After the initial shock, she's evil and she looks like this (
Click me!), we started chatting and headed out for some munchies. After all that and a decent milkshake, chocolatey goodness, we headed back to her room where she took a bunch of pics of us together (sadly I don't have them anymore) and that was about that. At the time she implied she might be in the area again for work but so far as I know that never happened.
We've been pretty tight on LJ ever since. It's weird how people group in areas;
Kristen lives in Atlanta, as does
Erika &
Cyne who both used to live in my neck of the woods; I got me some wonky online geography going on!
Besides the Matrix thang, she's done impressive Enya outfits, faerie costumes, renaissace wear, and is one of the best pirates I've ever seen. Well, to be fair
Al does a better pirate (course I have the perspective of having him been one around me) but she's so unbelievably hot it throws off the balance...
...pirate booty!
Bad as this may sound, she could wear a burlap sack and I might be willing to say she makes a better looking pirate than
Al.
So, as big into birthdays as I am...I've been doing this odd form thing lately with minute variations for specific people. So, without further ado:
*ahem*
Be it known on this day of June 15th, in the year of our Lord 2006,
Kristen is to be celebrated for having survived yet another year and not slain any of her idiot bosses in all that time. Much rejoicing and eating of the cakes is recommended.
Have a good one, lady.
