Howard (Dax/Phantasmal) is at the convention. Really cool to see him again and was happily surprised to learn that he's moved back to the Bay Area, though I was kinda stunned to find out he spawned...not sure why. Didn't hurt that his intervention enabled me to start talking with

Moving right along: a truly stunning bit of news that he dropped on me is that Missy is also moving back to the Bay Area. Think he said when but it's not coming to me now. Very mixed feelings on that, though I doube we'll see much of each other. Her hubby (Chris) and his band are doing really well which has something to do with the move though I don't know what.
Not much else. The gopher is staying for the whole weekend as Kestral is going to release it back in Santa Cruz and she's not headed back that way till after the con. I've got time to kill so figured I'd work on breathing. I'd forgotten Kestral had cats when I hugged her last night and while I'm not that bad...breathing is much more noticeable now than it should be. Inhaler's making the difference with my asthma.
Hugging not unusual with us but reasoning behind it kinda was. I'd known Kestral, vaguely, for awhile but we'd gotten much more chatty after I'd met her foster daughter Lilith (not the one some of you associate with that name as in this case it was her real one). Back in February, roundabout when I'd lost contact with Kestral, Lilith died. Derails are unimportant to this but I was heartbroken. we weren't that close but we had a definite connetion and though she'd missed the last few cons I'd been hoping she'd be back eventually.
