I have never understood this
6:25 PM 8/29/07 · Okay, several years of working at Barnes & Noble and I get a good friend in the form of 
Sarah. When I was fired from there for dubious reasons, post for another time, she and I got all sorts of snuggly. This went on for a few weeks and then she started going out with Josh...whereupon she disappeared from the world of humans...
...not an unusual thing in dealing with him. With a rather bizarre cult like methodology, generally when someone starts to see him they similarily go poof. So I've been informed by various sources...I got curious when
Sarah's absence went beyond a standard guesstimate of what a new love should be; we're talking most of a year here. Not that I've a problem with her, per se, but it is rather unsettling in some respects. I largely attribute my continued friendship with
Yresim, during their time together and he lived with her, being due to her family liking me so much and giving me an open invite to their home.
Anyway, out of the blue one day she pops up on the phone and wants to know if she can watch a soccer game on the TV in the main house. I have no idea if she mentioned a reason she couldn't do thise elsewhere but I was thankful for the time to see her again. She came over, we sank into the ever so cozy couch, and watched the game. It was nice...and possibly the first time I ever watched a full soccer game on a Spanish channel. After which,
Sarah disappeared again.
For the life of me I can't figure out what this was all about. Not the situation as a whole, though that's confusing in and of itself, but the soccer thing. Had hoped at the time it meant I had my friend back but with continued radio silence after that...
