Because 1) We don't carry wallets, so what would we need a back pocket for and 2) We don't want our butts to be any bigger than necessary. ;)

I hate pants without pockets. I do carry things in my back pocket (notably my work keys, so that they jingle when I walk and I don't forget to put them back).

Though! I would rather not have pockets than to have the teeny, tiny ones they do put on women's pants. That I think looks worse. Because then you have all this ass and this tiny pocket. Who thinks that makes your butt look smaller?

actually, i don't own a single pair of pants without back pockets. but mebbe that's me.

Mine do. I know because for some strange reason, I tend to stand with one hand in a back pocket. Maybe I just like grabbing my own ass. Durrr.
