Guess where I still am?
The essential situation is that there's this 15 copy job I need to have completed before my boss arrvies at 7am...who I'm beginning to think I'll still be here to say 'G'day' to. The problem is the clients, that are constantly begging/apologizing, that this job is for haven't finished assembling the bloody book that I'll be making the copies from! Something about a rough draft and someone arriving from Boston to approve it and corrections and a whole bunch more hubaloo.
My eyeballs are floating in the back of my head in a sea of coffee and hot cocoa. This is my latest concoction that not only keeps me awake but very relaxed as well. It's an odd mix but it certainly works better then how I'd be wthout the cocoa.
Caffinated & Stressed
Anyways, that's where I am now and still waiting. Only consolation I've got going for me is that I'm really racking up the overtime.
2:53 AM 11/29/2006 · Correction, it's just become 20 copies! At least now I've got an estimate to how long it will be before I can start this job...
...another 45 minutes!
You know that thing where an expectant mother is in the delivery room and she starts cursing out her husband for putting her through all this? I never expected I'd ever be in a mindframe to know what she must have been going through.
Sheesh!
3:32 AM 11/29/2006 · More good news: it's a 37 paged book with 7 tabs. New machines will copy this very very fast but still with the tabbing, me in zombie mode, and everything else...
...maybe de boss will buy me breakfast when he gets in.
