While it doesn't happen anywhere near as often to suit me, I ran across
Kendra on the way to work today. She takes the Caltrain in as I do but I usually never spot her until I'm either on ot still waiting for MUNI. I usually see this as a sign of a very good day to be had at work and we usually chat each others' ears off until we get to Embarcadero which is my stop.
She's just very fun to be around and I get all giddy inside. Go figure!
The range of our chats is actually kind of limited in scope but broad in content...even though we often seem to revolve around the same basic issues. Today we touched on
Warlock briefly, who called in sick to me via my cell phone while I was still on Caltrain; kinda works as I did the same yesterday. He's usually our most popular topic as it was because of him we first met...though give our circle of friends we probably would've by some other means down the line anyway. Popped onto, and stayed largely on
Sarah for most of the ride, a brief sidetrack onto
Kaci. This part of the conversation was mostly dominated by me,
Kendra was wondering how everyone knew
Kaci and largely attirbuted this to her having dated Mark,
Yresim's younger brother. To the best of my knowledge they never actually dated but I've been out of the loop on
Kaci, surprisingly enough, afer she becamew a permanent resident of the Bay Area. Set
Kendra straight on that, how I was the one that intro'd
Kaci to damn near everybody early on as I was one of the only regular folks she kept in contact with when she was in town, outside of Spring and Summer she lived outside of California.
As I said though, mostly we discussed
Sarah and relationships revolving around her. Our lack of friendship, shortly after she started seeing Josh, is the usual first place we start on seeing as she and I were pretty damned close a long time prior to that. Understand
Sarah & Josh are finally tying the knot in about another year and a season or two which is very cool; seem to be a good match. There was an interesting bit on bridesmaids (one word?) in here, I wanted to know if
Kendra was going to be stuffed into an ugly/tacky dress which seems to be the tradition. We dwelled on Josh a bit from there before coming around to her pants...
...pants in the sense of who was trying to get into
Kendra's. Won't touch on this much but she was amazed how many want to and can't seem to get their minds off it once they're fixated. I pointed out I had wanted to quite a bit once too until we'd had the Talk (the Talk is my fave way of referring to that kind of conversation) and then I wasn't anymore. Which isn't to say I lost interest but I'm no longer interested; I'm sure if she ever changed her mind and tackled me for that kind of activity I wouldn't put up much argument but I highly doubt that circumstance will ever come up. I joked off one of the primary focuses of getting in there would never be able to do so given he was much too tall and her pants size would just never work on him, to which I got a big grin.
The getting into her pants thing lingered until I got off the train whereupon I came across the solution to this problem...
...I think we should just not allow anyone to wear pants anymore.
That got me one more flash of grin before I was out the door and up an escalator.
