Been a weird week
Everyone in the family is vaccinated now, and my closest living relative (geographically) is Mom. Haven't seen her since near the start of the pandemic (she's in her 80's) so I was supposed to see her earlier this week...
...but as usual, Fate's a bastard!
· Tuesday, Mom was dealing with swollen limb syndrome. Lower extremities... she's got compression socks to help put but she needed to see her doctor.
· Wednesday, something with the car. When she got home the previous evening, parked in the garage and some water like substance flooded out from the underside and spread everywhere. She put a call into her service, to bring it in the following day, for them to fix the problem; we had fun joking about this and theorizing that evening.
Not from the radiator, possibly the wiper cleaning fluid... but what would cause it to leak?
At this point we had started joking we were cursed. That each attempt for me to visit was clearly being countered by the universe.
· Thursday, her service looked at the car and couldn't figure out where the leakage came from, said otherwise the car was fine.
· Friday, today... so far as we know nothing new has happened yet. Her service will be bringing the car back sometime this morning, she will call me, and then we'll see how it goes from there.

Part of why we were trying to do this earlier in the week is I have more family outta state, Sister and her crew, who are coming for a visit this coming next week. Partially due to the pandemic, Mom hasn't been keeping her home so tidy... I was to help her get the place ready for them.
Added Saturday · Everything great on Mom's end, but I'm not feeling well. Argh!
