more bits & pieces...

...because last time was so fun.

9:12 PM 10/30/06 · This is stuff from the last half of last week till now.
  • As happy as I am that I can goto BAGG this week I'm already hitting difficulties. Basically it's the getting home part...would prefer not to wait at the train station until the first train in the morning; club closes at 2:30am and first train's around 4:55am. Had thought
Kumi was in town, former usual ride as we live only about 2 miles from each other, but she's doing modelling shoots in Copenhagen right now. Have left voicemails for Gryphon &
niveK, has been discussed in the past, but not heard back from either as yet. I'm going either way but I'd prefer to get driven back.
  • Over the weekend I was supposed to hang out with
Raven on Saturday and then Mom Sunday; the first cancelled and I cancelled on the second. Going to see Mom this coming weekend, possibly both days, and we'll just have to see when there's an opening with my current snuggly. Funny thing is that when my plans with
Raven fell through I told her this would give me more time to clean up and I said as much to Mom when I was on the phone with her. I didn't do a blessed thing but vegetate, eat pizza, and go through an obscene amount of taped television shows; was about 2 weeks behind.
  • Finally up to date on the series Heroes and I gotta agree with
Cracky·McRib about how beautiful the flying scene was. Although, similar to my gripes with Superman, I would really love to know what the Hell the guy's using for propellant.
  • It's interesting to me this happened after the last thing I saw online was this: Clicky! I made some crack about how humans using chemical warfare on them all these years it was only a matter ot time before they started arming themselves. Last Friday, on the way home, I swung through San Mateo first. Hit Tower Records and bought some stuff, then got dinner at the food court in the Hillsdale Mall. Was over by the windows close to Burger King when I spotted it. Even though when I'm reading somebody could be screaming in my ear and I wouldn't notice...I tend to be very responsive to movement. Family across from me, also by the window, was doing normal eating things but it was when they stopped and all turned as one to the window my eyes came up from the book and followed their gazes. There was a rat outside, common variety wild but totally unafraid. Wasn't alone either, there were a couple of them walking up to the window, fighting each other for the bits of food they found, and looking in. There's a big difference between domesticated rats and the wild ones; these little guys looked athletic by comparison...tails were tough too. Back at the train station I saw a whole bunch of mice on top of a newspaper stand eating a sandwich someone left and they barely reacted as I walked by. San Mateo is going to the rodents!
  • By and large, I do most of my porn recycling through
niveK. Buy what I buy, keep it until it doesn't work for me anymore, and then pass it onto a friend. During her last visit
Raven took an interest in some of my stuff so I gave her what I was done with. After a little discussion I may have to arrange a visit to his place because she wants to see what he still has; he's got stuff I gave him from years back.
niveK says it's cool to bring her by whenever we get the chance.
  • It occured to me this morning, as I was buying $54 worth of candy for the week's supply at work, that it's an interesting balancing act I'm doing. On the one hand I'm buying a tonnage of candy and am eating more than I usually do because of that. On the other hand the amounts I get tend to weigh upwards of 15 pounds and since I often forget to leave it at work, my backpack's a strong little fucker, I'm getting so much exercise walking around with the weight on my back.
