Tonight looking for a story, remembering that I started LJ in 2002, when I was 15 years old. Twenty years ago.
Looking back, cringe and tenderness for the child self, buoyant and overeager
I need a story for a lesson plan. But my goal is still unclear and Im not right in the head about it and this job is so big. A lot of the history that brings me to this work isnt something I would feel good about sharing, so I look here, thinking on ways to bring my stories forward without being fucking weird about it.
Goals around community, connection, people power, systems, resourcing...I need to look for our north star. Knowing it and making sure all of us know it, and know how we are getting there - I think thats my job, right now.
