Sweet, I got an A!
In truth, I think he gave everyone an A. Doc mentioned "everyone did EXCELLENT work, and I don't think I need to tell you what grade that translates into." In a way, that makes it a little less meaningful, but I know I deserved it. I was one of the only people checking on the invertebrate activity pattern study, I think I probably recorded more fish than anyone because I was identifying all the myriad lookalike species of gobies and blennies in the shallows, and several people I talked to got at least part of question 7 wrong on the final. I also remember a whisper of "Hey, what does Onchidella eat?" during the final. So I think I earned my grade :)

As a complete aside, this icon is a picture of a French angelfish in Utila. It looks very similar to a grey angelfish, which looks very similar to the Cortez angelfish of the Gulf. I think it's pretty cool that a bunch of fish have sister species in the Caribbean, before the isthmus of Panama formed and caused speciation.
