"-5-"

Veiled in black, brown behind lace
Eyes turn to you, hoping to see
My salvation delivered from thee
Tears behind eyes, you in all your grace

A sob echos, the songless bird's sorrow
Palms reach out to you, one last embrace
Your smile radiant as the sun's face
the caged bird's last breath, no tomorrow

'Morrow comes, no trace of thee
Abandoned amongst the glades
Thy light reduced to several shades
A broken neck, you gave to me

I really miss Ken's poetry, he writes so well. His words always seem to flow with steady ease. To make up for my missing of it, decided to write my own till his return, then I'll return to the usual fiction. The end seems off, but I wanted it to be simple, direct, and to stand out from the rest of the lines. -shrug- e_x; I have other writings somewhere. Not telling where though, because I'm shy about it.
