update on my to do list

sleep enough - can't decide if i managed that one
find someone who wants to go to philadelphia this weekend - fail
clean the god damn kitchen (why doesn't it just stay clean??) - success! i think it's already dirty again, even though i cleaned it thursday night
put away the laundry that i did on saturday before i have to do laundry again - success!
car insurance - kinda done, waiting for something in the mail...that was a confusing night, and i'm not sure if we're even getting a better deal with the new company...
still to do:

start an IRA - did some research. i really would like to invest specifically in renewable/alternative energy like solar cell companies and the like. it would be nice to know my money isn't funding an evil corporation, also. still, i'd like something that actually will make a decent amount of money, too, so that's pretty hard to find. it looks like vanguard has the lowest expense ratios for their mutual funds, so they're a potentially good choice, though I also hear a lot that fidelity has high customer satisfaction rates (but a crappy target retirement fund, and higher expense ratios).
get the damn truck to start - still need to get a container so i can put some gas in it.
get ahold of todd and my other peeps in colorado, call the airline for "reaccomodation" and see if we can change the flight to a different day, perhaps
