The world dreads the obvious....the obvious dreads the world..

You know....you expect the world to hold onto you like an anchor from a cruise ship, hoping it only goes as far as you can catch up. Sometimes, life dishes out streaks of bad luck. Sometimes, it's a little TOO fair. Well, all I've had lately has been streaks of awful luck, but at small times, it's been barable.

Firstly, I was fired from Solectron/Verizon Wireless. Why? Well, a girl who had left the company for 8 months had returned and had been placed at a different location because I had already been transfered (the location was closer). The store manager went behind my back and asked my boss to have me transfered to another store to acommodate the girl. I found out by way of my boss telling me via email. I told her I was on a verge of quitting if I was going to be bounced around. She then dismissed the issue by disapproving the transfer. 2 weeks later, we all got our personal reviews and I had NO complaints from either the store manager or my boss. I was actually rated in the top 3 of 20 technicians in the Chicago area. 3 weeks later, the store manager complains to the district Verizon Wireless manager that I'm "the worst technician that he's had work at his store", that I played games on the computers, refused to follow corporate guidelines, and that I was late all the time. How does one person go from being one of the best to being the worst in 3 weeks when my work habit and ritual hadn't changed?! My boss had told me I was terminated on the last day of my 5 day vacation. I tried demanding an investigation be done, but since Verizon Wireless is the client, whatever they want goes. So they reported me to Verizon Wireless HR, which talked to Solectron HR, and had me fired. I would have sued for wrongful termination without an investigation, but that would have cost me a lot of money I didn't have.

Second, dating had been plentiful, just not satisfactory. Lately, trying to date a girl I know named Tina. I like her, she's beautiful and has life pretty well set for her. Well...that and she likes me :)

Third, friends are plentiful lately, although most are too busy with work to hang out. I need a job soon, receiving unemployment checks has come to a halt and get my last one on Saturday, apart from the Economic Stimulous check I get next week. Attempting to fall back into the cellular industry and use my experience.

Lastly, got a new PC back in January for my birthday. Works like a beaut.
