Do they pay in advance, or when they pick the pieces up?

The diploma was in advance because I had to UPS the frame, the restaurant is at pickup, and the big shadow box thing is for St Joe, so 60 days if I am lucky.

You should charge them a "storage fee" when they're late.

I should charge them a kick in the teeth.

Speaking of charging a storage fee, some funeral home in New York is wanting to charge like $5k for storing the ashes of a Wisconsin reporter who died in '98 or '99. She had no family, so when she was cremated, her ashes were left at the funeral home. Someone who knew the person found out she hadn't been buried and tracked her ashes down, only to be told they had to cough up $7500 for 'storage fees' to get the ashes. Funny, a number of funeral homes that were contacted said, no, we would never charge a fee like that, and most states say if the remains aren't picked up in 60 days, the funeral home can do with them what they will.

People like the Atlanta person REALLY PISS ME OFF, because they make people who actually NEED stuff by certain deadlines be marginalized and not taken seriously (medical records, anyone?).
You need a crystal ball that will let you know when someone is actually going to show up.

Do you charge extra for rush orders? I assume you still charge that if they're late.

I agree about the storage fee idea.

There's only one thing you can do then, send Miss Agnes up here to The Beards Hotel! She'll fit right in, two down from Roy who is black, and right next to Esme who is a salt/pepper.
