That was a fascinating and enlightening read. I had no idea there was such a variant form of Alzheimer's where you can remain fluent and coherent. Definitely not the one my grandmother has.
I do agree with him on Alzheimer's being worse than tumors/cancer, if only because the former slowly destroys the very essence of a person while the latter still leaves a person with their mind relatively intact. It's a horrible thing. I think it's many people's worst nightmare, right up there with debilitating strokes that leave a person completely paralyzed. Gah.
