I had a job interview this past week with a place called GoalQuest. I'd be doing Quality Assurance testing for their web apps. I so very badly want this job. They offered the same job to me in June but I didn't take it because the pay was low. Now they're looking to pay what I'm asking. Say a prayer/wish on a star/sacrafice a virgin for me in the hopes that I can get this job PLEASE. This would also mean that I get to leave my miserable preschool job when I leave for Europe. And I can also have a job that enables me to take coffee breaks and maybe occasionally e-mail a friend about grabbing happy hour drinks. Hell, I could probably even go out with my fellow coworkers for happy hour drinks. :-)
With the wedding two weeks away, Alex and I are both very tense. I can't wait for this thing to be over and for us to be on our honeymoon. I am definitely taking the Novotel Edinburgh up on their sauna & hot tub the night before.
We've already given each other our gifts. Alex got me some Spongebob slippers and a Japanese titanium spork (his wedding band is titanium). I got him a black ice Zippo with his initials on it, except the store I ordered it from f'd up and didn't make the "L" big in the middle, so instead of a monogram it just reads "ALM" not "AML," which are his initials.
Speaking of which, in case you are interested, my new initials will be EAL. The L is for Lock. I kind of really don't believe in taking your husband's name, but I can't convince him to change his last name to something totally random and I'm sick of my initials being EW. And I just don't like the sound of hyphenating. Makes things too ridiculously long.
I think I'm gonna make some spaghetti & meataballs tonight.
