More Soylent

The soylent has been going mostly well. I'm still not good about having it on the weekend but during the week, it's pretty easy.

And it just got easier.

We had been making it in a standard blender. Doing so meant it took two batches for each of us, four total. It took about forty minutes to make. And it was very uneven. We had to split the soylent (it comes divided for a day in large sealable bags) into half, put in half the water and then measure out half the oil before blending it. Further, when we poured them into containers, only one container got mixed between batches. So all three basically tasted different, based on blend time, how much soylent and oil we used and even amount of water.

We found a good deal on a blender that can hold all ten cups of mix and water at once. Wow! So different! So much better! Now I can put everything all in, start it blending and walk away, letting it blend for a few minutes, and then come back and easily pour it out into the three containers we are using that day. It's much better, smoother (it can be gritty), and only takes about half the time to do now.

With it being so much easier to make, it's been really easy to stick to! I do enjoy not having to think about supper, just getting soylent out and having it. I still need to exercise more but it's been cold here and that cold is touching me like it hasn't before. Brr. (10 F (-12C)) Not happy about that timing but not much I can do about that.
