Universal

Yesterday I went to Universal Studios. It was great. I bought the front of the line pass so I didn't have to wait in any lines (except for food and the bathroom). It was WELL worth the extra money. Without it I would not have been able to see everything. There was a studio tour which took us all behind the scenes of some of the movie and TV sets. I saw them setting up a scene for Ghost Whisperer which was taping that day; something to do with a pine box coffin in a front yard (they were actually using one of the Desperate House Wives' front yards) though maybe when it airs on TV they will have done something to it with computers so it won't be in a front yard and it will look like a fancier coffin. There were also some really great rides and shows. The Jerrasic Park water ride was extremely wet. It looks like you just go down a hill in a boat, but when you go down the hill they also shoot water at you from the front at a sort of 90 degree angle so you get soaked with that well before the final splash. The haunted house was fun. I was walking behind these tow big burly guys in their twenties that git so scared that they made me go in front so i would trigger the actors jumping out instead of them. Well on the last part when the bloody butcher came out I told him that the guys coming up behind me were really easy to scare. About ten seconds later I heard a huge scream. Serves them right for throwing me to the sharks. Everything else was great. I highly recommend Universal Hollywood. The in park prices were fair as far as food and such and they gave you ways to save like all you can eat passes and refillable cups. The only bad thing about the day was an particularly annoying group on little brats from a Jewish day school. I hear it is really good to let two sixteen year old boys chaperon twenty five eight to twelve year old boys. After all sixteen year old boys are known for their disciplinarian skills and eight to twelve year old boys are really good at not acting like asses, especially when in a group. I ecountered these little joys on the back to the future show/ride. The poor pre-show ride actress had to put up with their constant heckling. I sat as FAR away from them as I could.

Today I did the first half of Disneyland. I will write about that though once I finish the park tomorrow. Though I will say that my legs and feet are killing me from all the walking.
