Different, yet the same

Differences/similarities between tonight and, say, any night hanging out during my junior year of high school:

Similarities:

• Played cards
• Ate cheap pizza
• Played video games made before 1992 for about two hours

Differences:

• Left with more money than I came with
• Kicked everyone's ass at Street Fighter
• Access to about 1000 games via MAME as opposed to more like ten.
• Being drunk.

Yeah. I don't think this should exactly be seen as progress, although it's tough to feel bad about any night where you win money from your friends before 0wnz0ring them in a fighting game.
