Madder than Hell...
Band camp is getting worse...
I am becoming outraged at the changes that this director is making.
WARNING! to warn all of you. This will be a ranting entry. I need to vent some of my frustration
Today was a very grueling day. My body feels like a train wreck already. Which I guess isn't a bad thing, cause at least I know the calistenics are working. But I mean we are going at a snails pace. For the non-freshman, we should not be learning how to re-march. I admit that I had a few mistakes today. My pereferial (sp) vision was off on holiday today. But still, I don't need to be told over and over and over again by Conrad how to do a roll step march or a backwards march. We aren't 5 year olds Correction: most of us aren't 5 year olds.
Then during sectionals Brandy came in to talk with us. I will spare you all the details. But to say the least, she isn't happy with the managment. I agree with her. I mean they aren't giving her and Jeff anything to do except say "Band! Ten Hut!". Thats wrong. They should be conducting us. They should be teaching us too. Not Conrad and the other guy. They can help, but Brandy and Jeff are the drum majors. They are supposed to be doing a lot more then they are. I know its only the 3rd day, but geez. They look like a pair of bump on the logs.
At the end of the day when we had our "pow wow". This part upset me more than any other portion of the day. Mr. Bradford decided to completely change the rehearsal dates for practices. They are now Tues and Thurs from 5 - 8 in the evening. I am so upset over this because Tuesdays are the days I volunteer at the library for TAB. So I can boost my volunteer hours. And on Thursdays is my job: at the bowling alley. Since I am vice sec. treasure of a league. But now, it looks like I can't do either until after marching season. That is unless he decides to change the Wind Ensemble practice dates. Which he probably will because its on a Monday. Its so stupid.
If it wasn't for my love of music, my awesome section, and the extra credit I get each year, I would quit band tomorrow. I know I am complaining. But hey, its my livejournal and I will say what I want. Its your decision to read it. I did put a disclaimer above. But that is how I feel. And if you all don't like it, I could care less.
Anyways..Tiff wants me to accompany her to lunch again tomorrow. So thats where I'll be.
