Summer....

Summer fever has set in on a lot of you early. I must admit, it feels different being away from the band room for what a week now? lol. Well while all of you complain how boring your summer is and how you wish you were at school, I am going to be enjoying every bit of the boriness that summer break brings. I have worked so damn hard this year and now I get my break. Even if I just sit around the house and do absolutly nothing, I will relish it, because in less than two months, I will be back on the school parking lot learning drills. So I am not going to complain but simply enjoy what free time I have before it all starts again. I am also excited that I will be third in charge of the clarinet section as a sophomore. Well perhaps fourth if Jamie recovers from the incident. I hope he gets his tooth though. And that wench who knocked it out deserves to get the crap beaten out of her. But thats another story.

Today I went to Adventure Island. Fun as always. Got sunburned, the usual. I didn't go on as many of the attractions as I normally go on. If it wasn't for my stupid ear infection, that is going away (finally). Haven't really slept well lately with it.

The parade on Monday (Longleaf) was the worst parade ever devised. It was about a 10 - 15 minute parade route, we played for maybe 50 people, and the only other things in the parade were antique cars, fire trucks, and little kids on bicycles that almost ran Mr. D over XD. We had 1 drum major, 1 piccolo player (LIZ!), 2 flutes (including the FDDBBFTBH), 4 clarinets, 3 or 4 mellophones, 1 trumpet, 1 tenor sax, 1 trombone, and 3 susaphones. No drummers, no other instruments other than that. And on top of this, we got our music Saturday to have memorized by Monday. Yea....Heather had music in her pocket. She is a genius! I must take notes from her.

Heather is the new clarinet section leader! Go Heather!

While Jeff and Brandy are once again Drum Majors **no applause**

I also learned a new word today:
