I wasn't gonna do them, but both sites are covering things i like so.

thefridayfive

1. Do you cook regularly or does someone else cook for you?
- I cook regularly bc I'm awesome at it lol. I don't eat out much for the same reason.

2. Which are you better at making: sweet or savory foods?
- Definitely savory. I don't eat much sweet stuff and i really dislike baking for the most part.

3. If you had to work as a chef in a restaurant of your choice, which restaurant would best complement your current culinary skills?
- Eh, i don't know any restaurants off-hand, but probably something that specializes in seafood, Northwest stuff, or Pan-Asian. Frankly, there are probably several restaurants here that do all three at once lol.

4. What is a cooking tip that you know, but other people generally aren’t aware of?
- I could probably come up with lots on any giving cooking day, but I got a couple. One, learn how to tell when meat is done by feel and look so you don't have to rely on temp gauges. It's not hard. Two, you can easily make a pan sauce for any piece of meat you've cooked in a pan (lol) by turning the heat down after you'e removed the meat, then adding a bit of wine to scrape up the browned bits, then when it's boiled down a bit, add olive oil or butter and herbs if you like. Once it's thickened a bit, remove and pour over your meat.

5. Do you have a recipe you would like to share?
- The above was kind of a recipe hahah. But I do have a three-step perfect prep for grilling steak i can run down real quick. It involves letting it sit at room temp for about 45 mins to an hour depending on how warm your house is. The first step is to thoroughly salt it on both sides. Let that sit for idk 15--20 mins, then add another seasoning, could be herbs, garlic, paprika, etc wtvr you want. Let that sit another 15 mins. Then drizzle some marinade of your choice over it. Could be something like oil, vinegar, and soy sauce or whatever else. As long as it gets coated but not soaked. The previous steps allow the marinade to really soak into the meat for the next 15 or so mins before you put it on the grill. And you should marinate meat before putting it on the grill bc it protects it from the wood smoke.

My next favorite subject from F.riday5.com and it will be the 12012 edition bc otherwise i'd have too much to choose from.

1. Which obscure song is better than well-known songs by the same artist?
- Pfft there are so many amazing b-sides in Ichini's disco that are way better than their single tracks. Government Stomping Gum is one of my top faves. It's one of the b-sides from the Usubeni to Ame single.

2. What are some no-skip albums, albums whose tracks are all great to listen to?
- Diamond and Play Dolls by 12012 are literally amazing all the way through. No bad songs, and even better, pretty much all the songs are really good not just "non-skips".

3. Which album didn’t do it for you at first, but became a favorite after repeated listens?
- I think I gave Mar Maroon a hard time initially bc the production sounded a bit dodgy, but there's honestly a lot of good songs on it. I could still do without Merry Go World and The World, but pretty much all the other songs are very good.

4. Which album is best listened to at night?
- Gonna pick XII bc it has Alone and Aqua, which are probably the only real ballads IchINI has ever done but they really show off what an excellent singer Wachi is.

5. Which album is best listened to in a car?
- Going with Larva bc i actually haven't taken it out of my Jeep in months now lol. It has Icy Cold City and Six Party, nuff said.
