thoughts on stuff i've been watching

I accidentally paid for some dumb channel on Amazon and had to scour it for something to watch, and ended up on the Terry Pratchett TV movie or whatever The Colour of Magic. I vaguely remember knowing this was in the works back after Hogfather came out, and Ig there's another one based on Going Postal. Tbh, it was just alright. But I also don't think the books it was based on were the best either.

The main problems i had, aside from it just not being very funny, was that Rincewind was played by someone considerably older than he's depicted in the book and in art, so that was jarring and somewhat annoying. On the other hand, Sean Astin did a great job as Twoflower. He was probably the funniest and most entertaining aspect of the whole thing. When i read the books, I thought Twoflower was supposed to be an alien, but tbh i think he was supposed to be an American lmao.

Then I started Gyeongseong Creature on Netflix, which is again, aight. It's obviously taking liberties with the Unit 731 stuff and  having them create a monster on top of all the other awful shit they did. THe monster part isn't a secret, it's revealed by episode 2. Meanwhile, they pulled the vivisection scene right from Wikipedia. So idk, i don't hate it, but i'm somewhat failing to see the point of the plot. So there's a monster and they have to stop it i guess???

I only recognize one actor, and that's the cyber detective from Healer, and mainly bc of his voice, it's fairly distinctive lol. I like him though, he's a good actor.

Hulu offered me a month's free trial for my birthday, and i want to take it so i can watch the JCW one that came out last year, but also A sHOP fOR Killers looks kinda good.

netflix, amazon, watchaplayables, kdrama, hulu, terry pratchett
