Books I finished in 2023
- The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket by Edgar Allen Poe
- Castle in the Air by Diana Wynne Jones
- The Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden
- If on a winter's night a traveler by Italo Calvino
- The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden
- Red Blossoms IN Snow by Jeannie Lin
- A Hero Born by Jin Yong
- The Dark Forest by Cixin Liu
Less books than last year, but still a decent amount I feel like. By far my favorite were the Katherine Arden books. I had finished the first one idk a few years ago maybe, but for some reason, they caught my attentoin again and i finished the trilogy. Really enjoyed pretty much everything about them. A mythological fantasy using Russian folklore primarily. The romance was good and only the focal point when it needed to be. Really liked the horse angle too hahah.
Never got around to reading more Cixin Liu or Jin Yong but maybe I will this year after i finish the last book in the Howl trilogy thingy. I have quite a few want to reads on my list this year already.
I won't be posting a movie thing for last year lmao bc i literally watched almost nothing, and nothing new. Hoping that changes this year.
