finally august
I feel like July took forever tbh. Unfortunately another stupid heatwave started almost as soon as the calender turned. It's no wonder i start yearning for fall by August. I can deal with some 80s and whatnot, but it's been high 80s again AND it's been humid, which is rare for here. Cliff Mass explained why it's rare and it's kinda cool. Basically, bc the Pacific Ocean is so cool that air has trouble picking up water vapor over it, then we get easterly winds from the Cascades often when it's warm and it's quite dry on that side of the state, so it's rarely significantly humid.
BUT, it can occasionally become so when it gets hot shortly after a recent rain and the air picks up moisture from wet greenery, and it did indeed rain at the end of July so that's what happened. Yesterday was SO unpleasant lol. Today seems better so far though.
Just randomly realized as i'm listening to a bunch of new music today that over the years, especially recent years, i've built out whole sections of Last FM with artist bios, album art, and artist pics lol. Like, ppl in the shoutboxes will reference someone that they see everywhere, but i'm not all that chatty on there, but if you're looking at Japanese, Chinese, or Korean artist (non Kpop) pages, there's a HIGH chance i've contributed something, especially for more indie ones.
Alongside those though, my new music obsession, although it's not all that new, it's been building, is lofi/beats stuff also benefits from my OCD in adding album and artist info/art lol. Especially album art. I can't STAND having gray squares all over my profile lmao. My main method is to screencap the big version of art on Spotify, stick it in Paint, crop and upload.
Nothing else new, just bring on fall please.
