Cool and cloudy this morning. Downright cold tbh. It's funny, as long as I've lived here, I've always felt like once August hits, it's almost Fall, despite there technically being nearly 2 months of summer left. I assumed that was because of going back to school in late August or early September, but the feeling has persisted many years later.
But since I started reading Cliff Mass, I found out the reason why. Bc climatological Fall in Western WA starts in late August to early September. That's why our summers feel so short, especially if we don't have a warm June. It's literally July and August, but the nights start cooling down by the end of July. We do have four distinct seasons lol, but summer is quite short and spring is sometimes an extension of winter until maybe one nice-ish month.
And man, when it turns to Fall, you know it. The sudden shift is palpable. So if you know any Washingtonians, specifically ones from the west, you know why we get a little crazy in the summer, bc it's so damn short lmao.
Still watching Samurai Champloo on Crunchy through Prime, but started getting really annoyed last night at the delayed subs even though i can understand a lot without the subs, it's distracting asf. So i wanted to see if this was a Prime problem or what. I checked out a few old Gintama episodes and the subs were fine, so ig it's a problem with the version of the show itself. I was bouta cancel it and go directly through Crunchy but now i probably won't bother.
