strange interlude
Finally in a cooling trend again after a solid two weeks of hot weather. Hope it persists for a bit ugh. Got a sudden urge to watch Samurai Champloo again after listening to a bunch of the music lately, so i got my Crunchy sub at Amazon and i figured i'd finish Gintama while I'm there and check out the Kenshin reboot lol. Haven't watched much anime in years but for whatever reason it's mildly appealing lately. So i started asking myself what would be my top ten anime. And it goes like this:
1. Gintama
2. FMA Brotherhood
3. Drrrr
4. Samurai Champloo
5. Neuro
6. Magi
7. Noragami
8. Strike the Blood
9. xxxHolic
10. Barakamon
Honorable mentions include D Gray Man, Ao no Exorcist, Inuyasha, Hellsing. Anime that were much better as manga incude: Black Cat, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Blood Lad, Kenshin, Handa-kun. I would naturally bet money that my list doesn't look like most ppl's anime lists lmao. There's no Naruto, no Bleach, no Cowboy Bebop, no One Piece, no Attack on Titan, etc. I'm neither the hipster anime fan nor the mainstream anime fan lol.
I mostly only end up reading manga if the anime disappoints me, such is the case with the list mentioned above. I remember being super disappointed with Handa-kun bc i actually read the manga FIRST in that case, and for whatever reason, they could NOT reproduce in the anime what made the manga so funny. Neuro the manga was better than Neuro the anime too, but I still watched the anime multiple times.
Gintama, FMA Brotherhood, Drrr, and Samurai Champloo are prolly my all-time faves though.
