Bad day to be a motorcyclist.
On Monday I got to drive the best route at Metro, route 209 which runs between Issaquah and North Bend via Preston and Fall City. A beautiful drive this time of year, just gorgeous. Well I was coming down from Snoqualmie Falls just outside Fall City when 2 guys on crotch rocket motorcycles flew past. When I got to the bridge a couple minutes later one of the cyclists had collided with a cement mixing truck. His bike was crumpled up and the cyclist was laying in the middle of the road. It took about 10 minutes for help to arrive and I don't know what happened to the cyclist but he was moving when I finally drove past. I'm glad he was still alive and hope he wasn't too badly hurt.
Later the coordinator announced 2 more motorcycle accidents over the radio in the U district and somewhere in the south end respectively.
