Alright.
Here's the smallest and nerdiest Meme ever.
1. Pick a character in a roleplaying game who you think has a bunch of plot left.
2. Think of the time that has passed since you last played that character.
3. Fill in the time with in-game events and describe the character and the setting they now reside in.
4. Describe the first "introduction" to the PC and their world. Treat it like the first session you'd be playing that PC in again.
5. Flesh out the first major plot arc in the vein of the game.
Here goes!
Sharks:Nick Carvah ended up winning Seven years ago. He managed to secure his daughter a ticket into Heaven at the cost of having most of his friends die or thinking he betrayed them in the end when he actually managed to redeem himself and save those he could. Now his old bosses at Wolfram and Heart (which include other PCs from the original group) want him back for...'questioning' about what happened to the L.A. branch that ended with most of the city descending into hell. It doesn't matter that it wasn't his fault, the blame was part of the deal brokered for getting the ticket.
The main problem is that Nick's daughter has already gone to hell and is damned there for all eternity. Nick screwed up and she paid the price. Stuck with a free ticket to heaven and the guilt to not use it for himself, Nick scours the back alleys of the bible belt while avoiding agents of his old friends with a merry gang of misfits who spend their time running petty con-games and scams. They have a leg up on the competition seeing that there's a vampire and a psychic in the bunch, but angry mobs and hitmen are never that far behind.
Nick knows he's living on borrowed time, so he is seeking a worthy person to give the ticket to before one of his group figures out what he's got and steals it. He finally found a worthy girl, but she's big into martyrdom and thinks that if she offs herself and goes to heaven, it doesn't do a damn for her cause. Carvah tries to convince her while another group of con-men similar to his is vying for her to die and go to hell to advance their own agenda.
Did I mention he still smokes?
