MY WEEKEND... AND DAY

Sep 12, 2005 22:39

Hi, all! A few things happened during this past weekend... I guess enough to make write in my journal! I spent the weekend at Nick's house. Saturday night, I played DDR, and couldn't stop! (Thanks, Nick, for unplugging it during a song)I felt drained, and wanted to play again... but I couldn't, because we had to go and watch Crash (which, by the way, is a great movie.) After that, we went to bed. Sort of. Mark and Nick and I played this game on T.V where we used colors! The T.V was probably all confused and "What the hell?" and stuff. After that, Mark and I sat up and watched this anime where the main character was a wind goddess or something, only she didn't know it... It was really good; I wish I knew the name of it...

It was so cute to see Nick asleep on the couch next to Mark! I was like "Aww..." Nicole was asleep too, only she said she wasn't but I know she was because I saw her asleep and stuff. She was so cute! Then, around three o'clock or so, it was decided that Mark would take Nicole home so that he could go home so that he could rest so that he could take us to Evansville so that we could go to Best Buy so we could get back in time so that we could go to the mall and play Dance Freaks and DDR. I wasn't tired at all...

I got up and, after a long struggle with trying to decide what I was wearing, we (as in my new adopted family) went to church. I had never been to Nick's church, but I liked it. The people were very nice, and the sermon was good, too. I actually stayed awake for it, and I didn't have to play Solitaire to do it. *cough*Nick*cough*

Mark was supposed to take us to Evansville straight from church... but he wasn't there when church let out, so we went home.Even before Mark called us from Nicole's phone, we knew that he got lost; that's why he wasn't there. Duh. We had enough time for me to play one song on DDR before Mark showed up... I was happy that Mark was there, but sad that I had to stop playing...

With Mark there, all hell broke loose as we sped our way to Evansville; my first time ever being there. It was... a bit what I expected. Lots of stores... whee. We went into Best Buy and were greeted at the door by one of those greeter people that you see at many major stores around the country that probably make about $14 an hour. It took us awhile to find what we were looking for: MP3 players! *heavenly music in the background* Nick picked his out and told the clerk person what he wanted. The guy opened the latch with a key and took Nick's player and took it up to the front register, since Nick had a voucher thingy. Nevermind that I also wanted to make a freakin' transaction... anyways, yeah... so, the guy left and as soon as he did, I decided on the one that I wanted... which was the exact same one that Nick picked out.

I would also like to mention that this was about the same time that some guy at the front register fell and busted his head, causing a critical amount of blood to come from... his ears. We asked around to see what happened, to find out that the guy apparently had a "seizure"... your ears don't bleed when you have a seizure, unless you do something like... oh, I don't know... HIT YOUR HEAD? *clears throat* anyway, I found someone else to get my MP3 player (which is MUCH better than Nick's, by the way. He wasn't as good as the guy that got Nick's... He broke the lock on the little sliding glass door latch thing... Well, I got it and paid for it at one of the convenient other registers not at the front. Yay me! Nick couldn't process his voucher at that register, so we had to wait and listen to seizure man scream his head off to tell everyone to leave him alone, all while he lay on the floor bleeding. People who walked in looked soooo confused... I would be too, if I went to Best Buy and saw a firetruck parked out in front, half a dozen firemen holding down a guy with blood leaking from his head, and clerks telling people to ignore what was going on and to continue shopping... yeah, right.

Nick went to go look at CDs, so I was just loitering when I heard somebody humming... I looked around and saw Mark, swaying and humming with his eyes closed... I didn't know what he was doing at the time, so I kept my mouth shut and didn't say anything. I noticed that the guy got quiet though; his screams seemed a bit more suppressed. About this time, Nick came back and started talking, causing Mark to stop humming and the guy to start screaming again. I then learned that Mark was calming the man down by humming a sort of spell, I think...

So finally, after a long wait, we went over to the other service counter to see if we couldn't get Nick's player any faster, without interfering with the firemen and newly-arrived Paramedics (who should've been there looong before the firemen). Turns out that Nick's player was there at that particular counter the entire time! We stayed twenty extra minutes for nothing! So, Nick traded his voucher for the nice, new MP3 player (which isn't as nice as mine, mind you) and we were on our merry way back to Owensboro.

We picked up Nicole shortly after arriving back into town, and went to the mall. Mark went sraight to the Dance Freaks machine, and Nick and I went to the DDR machine... I never played so many games of DDR at one time in a public place... I spent about $7 of what was left of my money into that machine... I played until I was tired. Then I played some more. I couldn't stop playing... I swear that I'm not addicted...

After dragging me away from the DDR machine, Mark took us to Books-A-Million, where we... hung out until Mark and Nicole had to go home. Then Nick and I put music on our respective MP3 players and whatnot. I had to go home after that, so we went to Wal-Mart and got lost on the way back on East 26th Street... anyway, he dropped me off and I went to sleep soon after placing more files on my beloved player.

Today was an interesting day at school. At about 10:30 or so, I got really depressed... I can't explain it. I fell asleep in Biology too... and tried to stay awake in Art Survey (but failed), but managed to spring back into action by the time lunch rolled around. After lunch, I went to Biology Lab, where I fell asleep... I think I see a pattern...

Soon thereafter, (two and a half hours thereafter)I went to my Leadership meeting. We talked about the Seven Habits of Highly Effective College Students, where, it turns out that many of my habits are not highly effective... Our leader divided us into groups and told us to make a skit using the knowledge that we attained from todays lesson. The last group was sitting down the entire time the other groups went, so it was a shock to everyone when they started their skit... and screamed. There was a HUGE cockroach right in the middle of their circle. I about died laughing. Anyways, they finished their skit after defeating the evil menace and we all went back to our seats. I couldn't stop laughing; my sides burned as I supressed laugh after laugh after laugh... yeah. It was that bad...

With Leadership over, I went to the Playhouse to see how late I was for Auditions for The Dracula Project. I got to the side door, and noticed that the sign on it said "FRONT DOOR"... I stood there for a while, trying to figure out if this was the front door, or if I was supposed to go to the front door... I decided to go to the front door. I was ushered into the Green Room and was given a paper to fill out while I waited. I talked to some of the people there and OMG they are hilarious! I went on talking to them as people disappeared one by one. Finally, it was my turn, and I went and auditioned for Dracula's part. I was told that I was good by the director... which is strange, seeing as how a girl mentioned that he didn't flat out tell anyone that they were good or not... hmm.

After that, I went to the study session for my Art Survey class. There's this test on Wednesday, see... and I need to study and stuff. It lasted about 20 minutes, so... I went home and started on my homework and typed outeverything in my Live Journal... you should read it, but I warn you... it's pretty damn long...

Anyways... I'm going to bed. I'm tired for the first time in months, and I have a test in Psychology tomorrow. Yay. NIGHT!!!
