I am a licensed driver! Go me! Also, I saw Harry Potter. Thoughts behind the cut:

Dude. That was awesome. I may actually see this one again. While I maintain previous casting issues, all the new casting was great. I don't think Luna could have been more perfect. Umbridge wasn't how I pictured her at all, but I kind of liked this way better. Tonks also wasn't how I pictured her, but whatever, this way was good too. I kind of felt like Bellatrix and Lucius were in a different movie, but since it was an awesome crazy movie, that was OK.

This screenwriter was SO GOOD. I want him to stay forever and stupid Steve Kloves to give up writing and go do something he's good at. I wasn't really annoyed by anything they left out and I was SO GLAD that they left in the Weasley's exit. Kloves probably would have cut it to insert a scene where, once again, Hermione proves that she is so much better than Ron and Harry and prettier than everyone else. Also, I wish that the added scene with the twins and Nigel (who I totally forgot wasn't canon; I haven't read OotP since HBP came out) was really in the book, since it made me like the twins even a little bit more. I would have liked a line thrown in in the scene with Harry and Neville about Neville's parents not recognizing him (since, even though I love it and it may be my favorite part of OotP, they did have to cut the hospital scene for time and I'm OK with that), but the avenging line totally made up for it. The montage with the teachers examinations was great, although if there had been McGonagall's smackdown of Umbridge in there, that would have just made it better. Also, they somehow managed to make a scene where the villain is defeated by The Power Of Love that didn't suck.

PS The scene where Umbridge kicked Trelawney out and McGonagall was comforting her, even though McGonagall thinks Trelawney is a total fraud and an awful teacher? You go with your bad self, Minerva.
