Well, all quiet on the job-hunt front. As a result, I have the dumbest idea, but I'm really starting to entertain it...
I've always wanted to go to Fairmount, Indiana. It's where James Dean grew up, and he's buried there and they have the big James Dean Museum. Every Sept. 30 (the day he died) they have a big celebration - "James Dean Days." This year is the 50th anniversary of his death, and I'd always said I would go this year. Now I'm not so certain I wanna go THAT weekend; that's when the uber-obsessed fans come out, and I just think I'd feel like a dork. And I might be employed by then. But since I don't really have a job right now, I could just drive up there sometime in the next few weeks...
It would be a very long trip, and I don't like driving in unfamiliar places. (But I could stop in Tennessee on the way up and see my aunt, and stop in Kentucky on the way back and see Niccole, so that would break up the monotony.)
And gas is expensive right now, and I don't have much money. (But when else in my lifetime am I gonna have the chance to just put everything on hold for a few days and take a road trip?)
If I had someone to go w/ me it wouldn't be such a decision. And it's too hot to take Venkman.
I am a dork.
