(no subject)
worked on the house in summerland all day today, cleaning up construction workers' rubbish so the carpet can be installed. varnish or something got put in on the floor so it smelled really bad but looked really good. couldn't go inside all the way but peeked in through window at kitchen and it made me really happy. mexican tiling and kind of earthy greens and browns and dark oranges. v. good..... can't wait to move in.
was amusing to observe family during thanksgiving (which was v. fun and good, btw). my aunt grabbed a piece of pumpkin pie and then went off in a corner by herself and started singing in a tiny little voice "mmm mmm mmm and it was fabulous, and it was fabulous". grannie saw a pelican floating out in the middle of the ocean and remarked "it's dangerous for those surfers to go out all alone..." and then apparently she also went into the men's restroom at burger king on their way up to our house.
how tired i am. but content. i don't know whether i want school to start up again or no...
